The Gay Blood Collection
For nearly 40 years, up until May of 2023, the FDA used discriminatory guidelines to ban sexually active gay men from donating blood in America.
So we partnered up with pigment artist Stuart Semple to create inks and paints made from the donated blood of gay Mother employees — and we turned that blood into tools for protest.
The collection sold out, and the $60,000 in profits went to Callen-Lorde — a NYC based leader in LGBTQ+ healthcare.
